I need some help. My husband is having sharp pains in his left leg and hip area. This is isn't the first time he has had the pains. He remembered once when he was either in middle school or early high school that he had the pain before and then once a few years back while we were dating. Usually the pain would only last a day or two and then be gone. Right now, he's going on 3 days of having the pain. Yesterday it was a lot better and he was moving around almost normal, but last night his leg started throbbing, not just hurting when he moved it in certain directions.

We do not have health insurance and are newlyweds who don't make much money right now. We want to go to the doctor, but are scared of the bills. Does anyone know anything about leg pain that reoccurs, years apart?

Thank you for any help that anyone can give.

Almost any injury has the capacity to present at one stage then years later. There are many conditions that may present as hip and leg pain as you have described. Symptoms may be originating from the hip and leg themselves or even from the lower back. As i'm sure you're aware, you really should see a physiotherapist or doctor for a thorough assessment, diagnosis and appropriate treatment.Hope that helps and good luck,PhysioAdvisor
