Hi, I've tried to wait this problem out but it's really bothering me. For the past two months I've been getting stiff or cramped up arms (and sometimes legs) every single night during my sleep. It started off that I would just wake up with this problem, but now I can feel it starting as soon as I lie down. I've tried stretching before going to bed but it didn't help.
I don't know what could be causing it and there are so many reasons listed on the internet. Could it simply be a magnesium deficiency? Or are there more serious causes?
Note: I remember I DID hurt my neck/shoulder area a while ago in work when I misjudged the weight of a box I was lifting. I remember that for about 5minutes I couldn't move the whole area, it hurt a lot when it first happened (like a burning muscle spasm) and after it went kind of numb and cold. But I can't remember if it occured close to when these problems began, ie close enough to make a connection between the two. Does anyone have an idea about this?
