i am a 25 yr old female. About 4 weeks ago I had a normal check-up with my neurologist (I have epilepsy) and I told him that about 3 days earlier I woke up with what felt like a bad muscle strain in the base of my skull/neck on the right side. He prescribed some muscle relaxers and set me up for physical therapy the next week. The muscle relaxers did not help, and then when he gave me tylenol 3 it still didn't touch the pain. The pain started to spread down my neck and shoulder blade on my right side, and the base of my neck/skull on my left side. I also started to get really bad headaches. At physical therapy nothing was helping. We tried traction, heat, etc and nothing was working. In fact I hurt worse once it was done. He suspected a disk problem, but put me in a certain position and asked if it hurt worse which it didn't, so he said it wasn't a disk problem. I woke up friday morning with a low grade fever and went back to the doctor. He said the fever might be unrelated but since the pain killers weren't helping prescribed Hydrocodiene. We also scheduled an mri for this thursday evening. Well now the fever is still low-grade, the pain is not going away even with the stronger medicine and I now am having severe migraines. Any ideas? I can't even function at work. Please HELP!Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
