I have had 4 knee surgeries since April of 2009 ....The first was a routine exploritory arthoscopy after a work related fall ...A meniscus tear was found and also a divet in the articular cartilage ...After surgery for the menicus tear at my follow up appointment the Doctor discussed the divet with me and stated an OATs procedure was needed to repair this ...I agreed to the surgery as it would allow me to return to work pain free and prevent future problems ...After this procedure I was to be non weight bearing for 6-8 weeks ...After 3 days I went to physical therapy to regain my range of motion ..Upon arrival to physical therapy my therapist showed great concern about the mottled area around my knee area only ...He suggested that I call the Doctor and have them look at it ...I did and recieved an appointment the following day ...They totally dismissed it and sent me on my way ....I have seen 2 other Doctors since then and they have all showed a minimal amount of concern about the issue ...I am concerned ...I have constant pain in the joint area ,some level of swelling at all times ....The only thing that seems to eliminate the discoloration is to elevate the leg but when i get up on it the discoloration resumes ...Any help or suggestions that I may discuss with my Doctor would greatly be appreciated ...
