About a week ago I found a lump on the back of the left side of my neck around the hair line. The area is really tender and at times very uncomfortable when I move my head. I have not be sick recently. Should I be worried? Can anyone help me?

  • Had something very similar. Went to the doc who proclaimed it was fairly common and nothing to worry about. Gave me a name for the thing, which I have forgotten. It is essentially a fatty tumor with virtually no chance of becoming malignant. Can be removed if it is really uncomfortable. Mine has considerably diminished in size since I've been on an exercise/diet regimen and lost some weight. You should go to a doc to have it checked. If it's something serious, better to do something about it sooner rather than later. If it is what I have described, your anxiety will be relieved. Good luck!!
