Hi there, I am a 28 year old female with chronic neuropathic pain due to a severe L5/S1 herniation which was operated on in August 2011. My question is not regarding that area of my spine, but rather the top of my lumbar MRI regarding the L1 area. Should I be worried about what is shown on the MRI and is there the possibility that it has been overlooked? I am due in for a full spinal MRI at the end of February but the pain is unbearable at the moment and I wondered if anyone could give me an idea about what is happening further up my spine?
Is the vertebrae shown at the top of my MRI normal?
