I've heard of people getting their elbows locked due to sports activities, but is it possible to be born with something similar (and possibly permanent)?
As far as I can remember, my elbows would never stretch out to their fullest extent. When my arms are at my sides they naturally rest at an angle instead of being relaxed. It makes it frustrating to do certain things like play volleyball (because when you hit the ball your arms have to be completely straight in order to hit it with the most amount of force). I've noticed that a few family members on my dad's side also have the same problem along with a few other dominant traits. I'm wondering if maybe it could be related to some other conditions we have like being "big-boned" (http://www.surrealscoop.com/2007/06/first-big-boned-skeleton-discovered.html).
Does anyone know if there's a name for this? Can it be cured somehow?
