edit: I'm a 50 yr old man.. About 7 or 8 years ago my legs began getting weak. I was always able to climb steps no problem then out of the blue that became hard. Then over time almost impossible except a single flight of steps.
I tried to exercise to strengthen my legs, but they do not strengthen. Then about 4 years ago I began to lose muscle mass in my legs and now they're so thin my pants barely hang on me like a tent and my legs are so thin they have almost no definition.
I get plenty of exercise because i sell scrap metal for a living so my arms are plenty strong, but when i have to use my legs, which is every day they just get weaker and weaker and now when i sit for to long my rump hurts and when i do sit i pretty much have to have a pillow under me or the pain becomes severe in my hips then back and of course, legs.
I'm at a complete loss and doctors just seem to dismiss me as if it's normal to have legs like match sticks even when i do heavy lifting every day.
The ***l of it is, at one time i was able to run 10 miles and at one time many years ago could run very fast. Now I'm lucky to walk a few blocks before getting completely wiped out.
