It all started a month or so ago and I just started noticing it felt as a change of temp. In my left thigh. Couldn't tell iff it was hot or cold. I would just try to change positions as I thought it was just going to sleep on me. Then one night I was awaken by my thigh hurting then I went to bend my leg and booooooooom, it hurt/burned so bad I had to stand to my feet. Then I noticed that it stayed numb through out the day after that.

This just happened again while sleeping on the couch. This happened about 30 min ago. Right now it isn't numb but my whole thigh is sore to the touch.

I did have a car wreck bout two months ago but I only had a head injury. Nothing else hurt at all.

What is going on with me? I am under major stress with my mariage but I just don't know?

I notice it comes on stronger in certain positions, but the last couple days it has stayed numb most of the day. Did you find out what was causing this? If so please let me know so I can do something about it!

  • hi try looking up meralgia paresthetica (trapped femoral nerve )

  • I agree that it could be an entrapment of the femoral nerve. You probably injured your low back and/ or leg during your car crash but just didn't realize it at the time. If there is scar tissue around the area of the femoral nerve or artery, it could be pressing on it and causing those symptoms. A well trained chiropractor should be able to treat you. I would look for a chiropractor who does muscle work in addition to adjusting. Hope this helps!
