I was wondering if any one had any ideas i'm seeing a podiatrist at the moment because of my foot, i've had pain on and off at my 2nd mtp joint on my right foot for a couple of years, the intervals between pain have been coming shorter. i had an x ray which showed erosion of the 2nd mtp joint but no significant joint narrowing?? any one have any ideas whats going on.

just to give you a quick background.

26 years old (feel about 80)
diagnosed with cfs
waiting to see physio because of back problems i can't stand up for too long without getting back pain, morning back pain and my back just goes for no reason (very painful):(
On standing after sitting down for a while i have whole lower limb stiffness especially in ankles and it takes a good few steps before it is relieved.

currently i've had no blood work done.

If any one has any idea drop me a line:confused:

m xx

  • Just to give you an update..... I went to my podiatrist today and she showed me my x ray, my 2nd mtp joint looked awful!! generally a joints go )) but mine went () so it's no wonder it's painful! but anyways she is giving me raised insoles to try and keep pressure off the joint, she did tell me that i may get back and hip pains because she is changing my gait, which i hope doesn't happen as my back is bad enough! If the insoles don't work or don't agree with me then i may need to be referred for surgery advice. So i hope they work. any-one had the same problem? M xx
