Involuntary Flexing of toe

Every once in a while my toe will suddenly go into flexion (just the one toe) and if I try to extend it it just pulls right back into flexion. I looked up the symptom and the only thing that came back was Friedreich's ataxia I was wondering if there is possibly something else besides this condition that could cause the involuntary flexion?
