Hi, I am a 38 year old female in good health 5'6" tall and 168.5lbs. I have a slight fatty liver but nothing else and no diabetes.
Last Friday (9days ago), my right leg started getting "pins and needles". Ever since then, I've also gotten in in my right arm. Now for the past couple of days my leg has also gotten a little bit swollen and painful. I did go to the dr. yesterday and he gave me an rx for naprosen 500mg twice a day. He also took some blood to check for arthritis, lyme disease and some other inflammatory diseases. Today the pain is worse and it was difficult to walk. It almost feels like there is a tournequet (rubber band) on it that is cutting off the circulation. My leg and arm both have a good pulse however and are not discolored and I don't recall getting bit by anything except mosquitos.
Does anyone know what this could be? Could it be gout? I am overweight but I've been for several years so it's not like it just happened. Also, the symptoms happened quite suddenly and I don't know if it's a clot or not. It's not warm to the touch and the swelling is not severe, no fever, rash etc. My bloodwork won't be back until sometime this week so until then I'm just trying to figure this out on my own. Any help would be appreciated.
