Need advice on how to move forward. Have completed two ironmans in the past, though am now suffering with heel spurs and discomfort, and an inability to run for long. I have been on a strict ice/exercise/graded training program with new shoes and inserts, for a number of weeks now and am still struggling a lot. I have heard a lot about shifting to fore-foot running and now need some solid advice as cruising the internet is overwhelming.
Physios here in Denmark say it can take 2 years to overcome heel spurs. But if the reason I have them is BECAUSE of my running style, then surely a change is logical? There seem to be a lot of people on the fence..
