Glucosamine for finger joint pain from scleroderma

Has anyone with scleroderma tried glucosamine for joint pain in fingers. The joints of my ring finger on both hands is so painful that a handshake takes me to my knees. I take Celebrex and can tell when I don't take it but it doesn't seem to touch the pain in my hands. Many folks are recommending glucosamine but I'm afraid to "add collagen" with a disease that results from excess collagen production.
