My girlfriend has been having these sort of twitches in which her body shivers or jumps. She's said they use to be very rare, but now they're more frequent. She's had them for at least four years and now they're getting worse, to where she falls back and continues to spasm. It's not a seizure because it only lasts a minute. She says than when I got to grab her so that she doesn't fall back when she gets one standing up, she gets really scared. She doesn't understand why but she says that when she's doing that no one can touch her because she feels that they may hurt her.
I am just worried for her sake. Google hasn't been helping me lately and so I need to know what's it's caused by and if it's any risk to her health?
