Just over 2 weeks ago I got out of the car and the top of my foot started to hurt. It got worse and worse over a few days I could barely move my foot, the top (near the 3rd toe and over) was swollen. I waited a few days to see if it would go away and it didn't so I went to see the dr.
She took an xray and bloodwork. She didn't see any fracture on the xray and the bloodwork ruled out gout. She put me on an antibiotic and a steroid.
It's now 2 weeks and 2 days since the pain started. It's still there. Once the steroid was gone the swelling started to come back. The pain never left. I called the dr again about 4 days ago and she said to take 2 aleve 2x a day but that was it.
I'm seriously going crazy with this pain. I cannot put full weight on my foot. The swelling is back to were it was at it's worse. I'm soo sick of limping everywhere.
It's not like I can't function but if I put weight on the front of my foot it feels like my foot is going to give out.
Of course now my dr is on vacation for 10 days.
Any ideas what I could do, what the problem could be???
