Hey,
I'm having some foot and ankle problems. I don't know what's going on. But it seems like the 3rd and 4th bones on my right foot are dislocating this then sends amazing amounts of pain into my ankle. If feels like the blood supply can't get through but is still trying and causing a lot of pressure. I would usually have heard a crack in my foot and this would happen. But the last time was the worst and I was only putting on a Slipper Sock. I must have pulled it out of place and couldn't get it back in. This went on for 10-15mins and the pain was agony I have to say I was sobbing crying (which I never do but I thought it would never stop). Does anyone know why this happens? What can I do to stop it? Or who should I see about it a GP or a Foot Doc?
Slick.

  • you may want to consult with an orthopod. you may have falling arches (podiatrist), you may have pulmonary edema, or plantar fasciaitis- wherein your muscles above the achilles tendon dont stretch enough and that causes swelling and tenderness above tendon, and below into foot. after that, try the podiatriast. there are little plastic rocking mechanisms you can buy at the health stores for stretching plantar fascia. if you try one prior to buying and it seems to alleviate the symptoms, you have found the problem. if nothing works, do bloodwork for diabetes- but my bet is either falling arch or plantar fasciaitis

I actually have one of those "plastic rocking mechanisms", I've never used it cos I'm wary of stretching my foot in any way. It seems to start when I stretch it. I looked up the Plantar Fascia I don't think this is it. My feet and ankles have generally become sore most of the time now but when I get An Episode it's extremely painful (the blood flow is restricted). An orthopedic surgeon did say to me in passing (about 1 year ago) that I had the start of some Peripheral thing. I also supposedly have high blood pressure and freezing cold toes, would this have something to do with it? Should the surgeon have told me to follow up on the Peripheral thing? Would a GP be able to sort this out?
