I am a 65 year old male with diastasis recti. I have read conflicting opinions about repair. Is surgery necessary? will the wraps and exercise help? Just live with it unless it ruptures?

  • My surgeon advised me to live with it so long as it doesn't hurt. Generally it doesn't. I try situps but the hernia pops up like a half of a football. So far it doesn't hurt so I'm leaving it alone. Is their some sort of a truss that's available?
