I broke my ankle (tibia and fibula) about 3 weeks ago, and got surgery on it 3 days after I broke it. I had a splint on for 10 days after surgery, and got a boot (or air cast) on about a week ago. Yesterday, I was getting out of the car and lost my balance. My automatic response was to catch myself with my foot, and I ended up standing on just my foot with the broken ankle for a few seconds. I'm not supposed to put any weight on my foot at all, so I'm a little concerned I could have done something to my ankle or slowed down my healing progress. It's not anymore swollen or painful than it has been since surgery, and I have been icing it, but I am still concerned that I could have worsened my condition. If anybody could give me some feedback I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
