I'm a 39 year old woman who has always been very athletic. Until april of 08 I been rock climbing and playing beach volleyball. In april I started having severe rib pain that seems to move around. It has been diagnosed as Costochondritis by Kaiser. But its now september and hurts just as bad. Bad enough where its almost debilitating. My lifestyle has completely changed to where I don't even attempt to work out anymore in any capacity. My mother had a similar affliction for may years that we all just thought she was making it up. This is horrible like having a broken rib but I don't. There seems to be no treatment for costochondritis other than wait until it goes away. But I've had it so long I wonder if that is really what I have. And with my mother having a similar thing is there such a thing as chronic costochondritis? I'm going to chiropractor this week and acupuncture next week. **** I would go to a witch doctor if it would help. Is there anything else this could be?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
