About 2 1/2 mths ago I started getting a dull pain between my shoulder blades. The pain kept increasing until I finally asked my physician about it after about a month. At that time she said I was fine. I have both Scoliosis and, Degenerative Disk Disease. The symptoms I am having don't seem to be related to either. Since the pain started I have also developed other symptoms. At times I get what feels like a warming sensation across my back between my shoulder blades. In the beginning the pain was only once in a while,,, now it is from the time I move in the bed in the mornings. The pain now radiates into both of my arms. They feel extremely week,,, I get an almost numbing feeling along with a tingling sensation in my hands at times. I have had chronic sinusitis for about 3 months now (not sure if they are related). It has gotten to the point that it hurts for me to breathe. The pain now radiates completely around my chest at times and, can be unbearable. I started producing sputum with brown specs in it a few weeks ago ( I can't seem to find any information about that ). I wake up several times a night in severe pain and, drenched from night sweats. My doctor has blown all of this off. I finally had to transfer to another facility hoping they could help me. I am still waiting to find out if the doctor there is going to accept me or, not. Alot of physicians won't take a patient with chronic disorders around here. My resources are limited so, I can't afford to go just anyone. I am taking steps to rectify that problem. I have applied at a state hospital for care but, I am also a full-time student at age 38. I have been to the emergency room at 2 different hospitals within that last 3 weeks. The first one I recieved terrible care. While I was gone to get an e-ray done,,, the Dr. came in and told my boyfriend that everything looked fine ( can you believe that ! ). Then after he found out that I hadn't even had the e-ray done yet he left. He later came back and, said that I had bronchitis. The other hospital didn't even bother to run tests. The Dr. there only concentrated on the pain symptom and, gave me meds for that. I always thought that the whole reason for the medical field was to help people overcome whatever is wrong with them. Now I am losing all faith in our healthcare system. I have done my own research and, come up with a few things. I fit the profile for all of them with the exception that I am not suffering weight loss or, loss in appetite. Can someone,,, anyone please help me !! Any ideas or, suggestions would be of great help. I just don't know what else to do and, I feel like I am deteriorating away.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
