I have calf pain that occurs when I sit for a few minutes and then stand. It doesn't have to be for very long at all just a few minutes. The pain is substantial and lasts for only a few minutes then subsides only to reoccur when I again stop, rest, then stand.

The pain is substantial and lasts for only a few minutes then subsides only to reoccur when I again stop, rest, then stand. I would recommend seeing a physiotherapist or doctor for accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment. It may be something as simple as a strained calf that warms up with movement, or pain referred from the lower back such as a disc bulge that would be aggravated from sitting. However you would want to rule out other potential medical conditions such as vascular problems (e.g. DVT). Hope that helps, PhysioAdvisorwww.PhysioAdvisor.com
