my husband has had his calf muscle spasms for 4 days now and at first it wasnt a problem for him. now that it has continued it is bringing pain. i searched the net and all i got was dehydration, lack of salt and injury. that he remembers he didnt not injure his leg at all. it just started all at once. he as drank plenty of water for maybe dehydration and even drank salt water. he has never had a problem like this before. he has even tryed muscle rub and a heating pad and muscle relaxers none have worked. could anyone help with advice? or have u even heard of this before?

  • Perfect22, this happened to me for a period of a few months. I didn't have any calf injuries either, but all of the sudden both of my calves started getting irritated and it was almost a feeling of being slightly stretched. Usually it would happen while I was laying in bed. The first time it happened I actually thought I tore something in my leg because a bump formed while it spasmed, but it went away after the spasm was done (it lasted for a few minutes, maybe). I used biofreeze but nothing seemed to help either. Eventually it just stopped happening. Sorry, I'm not much help! But hopefully it will go away for your husband as well.
