  • That happened to me 5 nights in a row! Some meds can cause it. To make it stop start taking magnesium supplements and lots of water. Guarantee it!!

  • Lots of water(including replacing an equal amount of any dieuretic type drink- coffee, alcohol) & electrolyte supplements often help. I hate charley horses!!! My legs are often very sore after a bad one for about a day or so.Light stretching of the calf muscles before bed also helps.

  • And there are many who subscribe to putting a bar of soap under the sheet. After you are checked for DVT, and it is ruled out. You might try it. People are always writing to Dr. Gott, in the newspaper, and telling them of their luck with the soap. sounds really weird, but if it works, why knock it.
