I had a cyst removed from my heel about 9 years ago (@ 19 yrs old). The bone was filled in because the cyst had eaten at the bone. I am assuming it is the cyst I described above because that sounds most like it. It has been problem free since then... until now.
I am having a lot of pain recently in the heel, in the exact location of the surgery. I normally sit at a desk all day, but I've been put on a project where I walk all day. Between that and the fact the I am about 80 pounds heavier than I was at the time of the surgery, the amount of stress on the bone is obvious.
My only question is... could this just be causing irritation of the heel/surgery site from all of the walking and will go away once I am back at my cozy desk... or is it more likely/possible that I have damaged the surgery site (filler pulling away from real bone, etc.) or maybe a relapse in the remaining real bone?
