After playing a game at the ice park and falling directly on my elbow, I went to my doctor, because it hurt and was swollen. He did an elbow x-ray and said that it wasn't broken. He told me to come back if it wasn't better in a week and after 1 week it was still swollen and painful. I went back and they did a wrist x-ray because I had told my doctor of how I sometimes got shooting pains down my wrist. These x-rays also indicated that nothing was broken. However, after another week had passed and still no sign of relief, I wen tonce again to my doctor who did an arithritis test that came back negative and then referred me to an orthapedic surgeon. I had an elbow MRI done which showed that my elbow was broken. That was Friday and I have to wear a sling until I go back to the os tomorrow. My question is...does anyone know what sort of treatment there is for a broken elbow? I do not know where it is broken or anything...all that I know is that it is broken. I just want to know if I will have to get a cast or a splint or what. Any help would be greatly appreciated!Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
