I'm a 40 year old male and about two weeks ago I had severe chest (heart side) and left arm (under bicep) pain that lasted for 5 straight days. Went to doctors and they did EKG and stress testing and concluded that it was not heart related. At least they believed that and I want to believe that as well. I run on average 20 miles a week with no issues and I'm back to doing that now. BTW, blood pressure 102-72 and pulse rate 60 normally and they never strayed away from those numbers through the events.
The problem is after the 5 days of arm and chest pains I lost the strength in my left hand/arm and the numbness (constant) in my forearm is not gone. I can no longer tie my shoes, turn a soda cap, press a simple doorbell, etc. At the gym, I have a 45lb dumbbell in my right hand and a 5lb. (max) in my right hand.
