17 year gymnast daughter has had right shin pain for close to 2 years now. Has had a myriad of tests: x-rays, mri w and without contrast, ultrasounds, CT scan, Bone scan, compartment syndrome testing, 3 wks P/T, PRP injection, corisone shot, anti-inflammatories, elavil, sympathetic nerve block in her back etc, etc, etc.
No diagnosis, no pain relief. latest bone scan showed focal increased uptake in the right tibiofibular sydesmosis, more closely localizing to the fibula than the lateral tibia.
Someone please help!!!! Ready to take her to a voodoo doctor or start traveling the country to find someone who can help her! Desperate!
