My fiance's son is 6 years old and lives with his mother. We get him once a week and recently he has lost a lot of weight and lost all muscle tone. Every bone in his chest/back is visible and they don't look normal either. In the center of his chest where his ribs meet at his breastbone they stick out and are very very thin. His shoulders are very narrow (his head is wider than the span of his shoulders) He has bags under his eyes and I think he has a yellow tinge to his skin. His mother says he eats all the time and that the weight loss is due to her placing him on concerta. He is in first grade and is on the verge of being held back. He has problems socializing and his motor skills are way below average. She brushes off any conversation about his health, stating that he is fine and slowly gaining the weight back, however he is only gaining a little weight because he is getting taller. His upper arms are about as round as a mans thumb...does anyone have any idea what could be causing these symptoms? We are very concerned!Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
