Possible symptoms?

I have some symptoms that I am concerned about and I'm hoping that maybe someone can shed some light on them. To start, I am a 26 year old female who is also a Type I diabetic (dx at age 5). I am extremely well controlled with no signs of any complications. I began having muscle twitches a little over a year ago and also developed some floaters in my eyes. The muscle twitches are not the entire muscle twitching, but instead an isolated twitch in a small area on the muscle. These mostly happen in my legs but also in my left abdomen and occasionally my arms -- usually on the left side. I went to my ophthalmologist and he could not find anything wrong. Since then I have also developed a sort of slight shaking of vertical lines in my vision when I de-focus my eyes (it does not happen if my eyes are focused). In addition, I get little spots of light in my vision that are generally very small and bright white, but occasionally I have been getting slight blue spots just barely in the periphery (not far periphery). My shoulders are very tight and if I sleep with my arms up so that my shoulders are extended my arms fall asleep. My left hand has a slight tremor when I extend it. I saw a neurologist a year ago when this started and he said it was a benign tremor. Also, my left leg is slightly weaker than my right leg. The visual symptoms and the muscle twitching are what I find most concerning. Does anyone have any thoughts? I just found out that I have a slight loss of disc height in three of my neck vertebrae and I think that I am going to get an MRI but not until June (my doctor wants to see me in June for a follow-up to the neck x-rays that found the disc degeneration). Should I try to get an MRI earlier? Any advice is much appreciated.
