Please find my post here:

I was just diagnosed with PML that could have been avoided, having taken treatments for MS. My case is rare, but it is worth considering PRIOR to taking the harsh injection treatments and corticosteroids and so forth for the treatment of MS.

Please, get checked for the JC Virus and have it confirmed or denied definitively prior to taking treatments for MS; as patients, we need ALL the information to make an informed decision about our treatment and care. This is especially important if there is uncertainty about your MS diagnosis, as was the case with me. Bear in mind, my case is rare; so it may be worth it to take the risk ... but in taking the risk, you have the right to know you are!!! I did not get this option to choose.

Disregard "My DX, So Far" as written in my signature line; I have received my diagnosis of PML.
