I was recently admitted to the emergency room with stroke like symptoms. It started with an extreme burning pain down my left arm. Two days later, I felt tension on the left side of my face and neck. The emergency room doctor mentioned Bells Palsy, however the tension in my face moved to the back of my neck. While in the hospital I experienced spasms on both sides of my face and neck. My blood pressure ruled out the possibility of a stroke. The emergency room doctor said my condition could be stress related. He did refer me to a neurologist. I have been home for two days and have been experiencing muscle spasms in my upper back. I have also experienced uncontrollable twitching in my toe and my jaw. While in the hospital I had a cat scan, MRI, and chest x-ray, all of which were normal. Are these symptoms characteristic of MS.
