So I have this small white almost strip bump on my tongue. It is painless and it is not on top of any sore lesion or anything red, besides my tongue. I remember having it a few weeks ago but it went away and now it has returned.
I am just curious what it could be? I do get canker sores from time to time but this doesn't feel like them at all. I should also mention that I have had extensive surgery to my mouth and tongue due to a motorcycle accident ten years ago and where the scar on my tongue is is also the spot where this white bump is. I also will wake up sometimes with pain in that area which I attribute to chewing on the scar because it protrudes a little bit further into my teeth.
I have attached a picture for help with this issue. I just don't want to see my doctor if its not necessary.
