I'm really begining to get worried about these white marks/patches on my tongue, i'll try to describe them best i can. I'm certain its not thrush.
Upon awaking most mornings I find a patch, sometimes more than one, best described as skin coloured patches on the side, or side/tip of my tongue. They dont hurt, nor itch, smell or anything like that. They seem to dissapear by about half way through the day once ive eatin and drank, etc etc. They sometimes appear in different spots on the tongue, sometimes the same spot.
I brush, floss, tongue scrape every night, and sure fire next morning they'll be one on the side of my tongue.
Always on the sides, never the top. I've been reading up on something called leakoplakia, but i get scared reading the reasons for having those.
The only thing i can link it to is that i bite my cheeks constantly during the day as a bad habit, and perhaps at night when my mouth is at rest they appear? I also wake up with a dry mouth EVERY morning.
Can anyone put my mind at rest to what these things are!?
