Hello all,

I am a 26 year old male in good health. Well at least untill the other day.

On Christmas Eve I started to get a canker sore on my bottom lip. I rarely get canker sores and when I do its from me bitting myself when I am eating or something like that. But on Chistmas day I woke up and had 2 canker sores on my bottom lip, a headache, slightly swollen lymph node in my neck, and slightly swollen gums. Well now its 2 days after Christmas and Ive got 3 cankersores on my bottom lip. 2 little red dots on my tongue. Feels like someone went at the roof of my mouth with a cheese grader. Still got this raging head ache, gums are swollen and lymph nodes are swollen and hurt. Im also very hungry.

Any hints as to what might be going on here?

I can take a picture if someone wants. Just tell me what you want to see.

Any help would be soooo much appreciated.

Thanks and Best regards to all

Paul

  • Nope no oral sex or medications. I did have some sweet foods and salty foods or christmas eve and day but thats it. As far as I know the only thing that I am allergic to is Pine Sol. Weird thing to be allergic to I think but hey I guess Im stuck with that one.

  • Hi Paul,I suffer from Canker Sores almost constantly even on my throat so I know the pain you are experiencing. My health condition is obviously different from yours but I wanted to offer you some encouragement. First, lymph nodes will be swollen when you have mouth sores, so that's normal. Holidays=Stress which can be a trigger for the cankers and also leaves your immune system a little run down also. The red swollen dots on your tongue sound like inflamed taste buds. I've had those too, along with the really sore roof of the mouth. It usually just takes time to clear up. In my opinion, the good news is that your problem will likely just go away after a week or so and you won't have any more problems. In the meantime, you can spray some of that Chloreseptic Sore throat spray on the cankers, spots and roof to numb so you can eat. Perhaps you did have some sort of allergic reaction to something you ate or drank without realizing it. Hope you're feeling better soon! Take Care.
