Hello, after reading posts on this site I thought I would add my story. I am a 48 year old female. About 3 months ago I took high doses of colloidal silver... since then I have had a burning tongue and roof of mouth. I went to a naturpathic doctor who said I was toxic from the silver and that my liver was indicating stress. I went on a cleanse which included cutting out grapefruit, sugar and alcohol for about 2 months. I also was taking some pills called ICHOL and high level anti-oxidants and Vitamin c. My symptoms seemed to get better very briefly but as soon as I re-introduced wine, sugar or vinegar my symptoms got worse. Continued the cleanse for a few more weeks. I am now off the cleanse for about 2 weeks now and my tongue and roof of mouth have not improved, in fact almost feel worse especially at night and my throat burns as well. So off I went to the doctor today, he is testing my blood for mercury and silver toxicity and results will be awhile. In the meantime he is treating me for acid reflux which could be a small part of this problem but i definately know that since I took the silver I have not felt well and this burning sensation is driving me crazy. I am hoping to find some relief at some point and would be open to any ones thoughts on this.

  • I am curious what the final diagnosis was in your case. For the past 3 months I have been suffering from a sore roof of mouth (the hard palate). I also have an unusual taste in my mouth, frequent burping, hoarseness when I talk more than 20 minutes at a time, and a slight post nasal drip. I was diagnosed with esophageal reflux and placed on Dexilant. Symptoms remained the same so I was switched to Nexium. After 2 weeks felt worse. At this point the MD prescribed Nexium upon awakening, at 6 PM and then one Zantac at bedtime. I have had no stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or onstipation. I just have a sore roof of mouth and unusual taste. On occasion I do have a dull ache in the right upper chest. Were your symptoms anything like this????
