Adjusting to Dentures

I had extensive extractions for dentures and treatments for infections in teeth &jaw beginning afew months ago. Every few weeks a few teeth would be pulled. My orthodontist explained that it takes 4-5 weeks for the gums to heal and a few months for the bone to heal. I do have the dentures now and bought the adhesive(s) ... I cannot have the palate plate trimmed until early December as bone is still healing. Am having trouble with taste and bite and the denture adhesives. Some of them make me feel like roof of mouth is being sucked out after wearing for a while; others don't hold right; I cannot chew meat, corn, salad and still eating "weird"... Just wonderiing if anyone has experienced this. Sometimes the dentures feel so uncomfortable that I have to take them out for an hour. The horrendous part is over; but am anxious for the final phase to go more smoothly. If dentures are removed at night my face f a l l s; and the TMJ pain kicks in. A piece of jaw bone came out with one of the teeth, and this area now doesn't seem to fit as well into dentures.
