I have a son that has learning disabilitie he has problems with receptive and expresive and can't retain information I would like to know the causes and if this is consider a handicap for life he is currently in a learning handicap class

  • Hi to tell you the truth I don't know what cause it his doctor send me to a neoroligist because he said that maybe he had mild cerebral palsy because he did not have reflex on his kness and doctor said that maybe it was because he's bilirubin was at 23 after he was born so i went to neorologist they did blood test, cat test, and a EEG. they came out normal. and this started when he went to preschool with sever speech disoder and later in kindergarden ghat's when teacher forun out that he coulden't follow simple dorection and can't read he was the lowest one in class. my son now is 6year's old he'll be 7 in August. what should i do should i take him to other doctor's

  • It sound like you have had some medical tests done. Have you looked into any psychological testing? Is it possible that you son could have autism or some other psychological condition. And yes, many learning disorders can be overcome or disappear with age.
