i was first diagnosed with depression and was suicidal at times and then about 6 months later it ceased almost entirely to where i was a functional human being once again. now it seems my depression is setting in once more. my psychiatrist believes i am bipolar 2 and my phsycologist said that i was going through some "ambivalence". it seems that they are both on different pages thus making me extremely confused. if anyone can relate or just comment it would be greatly appreciated.

  • Depression is reoccuring. I suggest excersize, sleep, and perhaps an anti-depressant. Hope you get better soon.xoxC

  • everyone is "bipolar"to a degree.and depression is common.it is a normal healthy response to a world in which human values are contorted out of recognition, and cruelty is our daily experience.but you have to learn to defend yourself, ultimately ,to help others.start with "rational emotive therapy"by albert ellis.yes ,i endorse the advice above about exercise and sleep.to which i would add.....reduce/eliminate debt and addictions if they are present. eliminate self pity and self absorbtion....it is not as if you are in physical pain.(to eliminate depression, get a bad toothache!that generally puts things into proportion!)build your self esteem by acts of anonymous kindness and unselfishness.build relationships.heal old hurts.....that will do for now.let me know how you get on,please.
