Hi, this is my first time posting so bare with me. I have recently been fearing that I have may have a mental disease. Mentally instability runs in my mom's side of the family. I am paranoid that people know what I am thinking about, I talk to people in my head (and they talk back), I become irritable easily, and have become aggresive with some of my friends. I am a social drinker and lately have tried to be sexual forceful with my best friend, twice. She eventually kicked me out of her house, but forgave and we are fine now. I also have started driving like a complete maniac, it had gotten to the point where people won't get in the car if I am driving. I am 18 years old and fear if I don't take care of this now, it will start to become a big problem. If you have any ideas or thoughts on this please let me know? Thanks Britt

Thanks Britt ok well that sounds like shcytzo (sorry for spelling). and the drivin sounds like my b.f's whos the same age as you are. but with my experence with personality disorders, which i know i have just not sure, uuhh lets see i know that you dont need to drink so much that you try to be sexual with your friend...its not fun for both sides and it can be a real bad thing if you rape her. but you might want to talk to a phycologist and see if you can get meds.:p

Thanks Britt Britt what you need is help and medication. It is ok to have a mental disorder. It is not ok to let it become out of control, or to let it control you. Get help now from a specialist before you really get into trouble and ruin your life and someone elses as well.

  • Dear What is wrong with me:) Hallucinations (auditory or visual) and delusions eg thinking that people on TV are talking to you may be related to schizophrenia ( a common mental health illness that can be managed through medication). You need to see a Psychiatrist urgently.

  • I know this is an old thread, but if you're still listening ... You have schizophrenic symptoms (that's be people in your head talking back to you), and burgeoning psychopathic symptoms (that'd be the aggression, daredevil driving, and sexual aggression). There is a chance you could also be bipolar. When the people in your head talk back to you, what do they say?

  • What it sounds like to me is borderline personality disorder. It does cause the type of behavior and hallucinations that you are speaking of. Good news it is curable. Not so great news- takes lots of therapy and a Dr that understands how to treat it. Get yourself into treatment. Earlier you understand what is going on, better prognosis. Also read the book "I hate you, don't leave me" and see if that fits. Good Luck:)
