What's up with me?

My mind wanders frequently, I associate in ways many others don't get (but they make sense to me), I feel like I'm being watched, I worry pointlessly (constantly), I close all my doors when they are open, I drum my fingers, I am easily excited, and I have this thing where I wad up paper and throw it away for no reason. Is it evident that I ramble as well? :P

I wanted to know if any of these behaviors are signs of something other that the depression that I was diagnosed with 3 years ago, but please, refrain from answers that even use the words 'personality' and 'disorder' right next to each other. (I read the a list of the symptoms for each. If personality disorders are actually disorders, then I have at least 3.)

  • Hi there, I honestly don't think that anything is wrong with you. I have had depression most of my life as well. I have come to the realization that I either can stay on medication for the rest of my life or I can try to overcome it on my own. Medical Dr.'s now a days are so quick to hand you a prescription for a medication that will just supress your feelings and they don't take the time to actually get to the root of the problem. In our world today it is so easy to be depressed because of all the negativity out there. You need to get in touch with who you really are and be happy with yourself. I don't mean to preach at all to you, and maybe this isn't for you but I have recently become a Christian and turned my life over to God. I have found that I can't control my life anymore and when I am in charge, I just screw it up. I realized that I need God because I believe without him we never will truly be happy. Good Luck with your search, but believe in yourself and believe that God has the power to heal you.

  • i feel that if you had some really absorbing and urgent task in your life these little behavioural tics and niggles would just melt away.or you would keep doing them and not care.find something wonderfully exciting and profitable to do ,if not for yourself, then for others, there is plenty to be done, all sorts of need all around you!good luck!
