The unexpected death of her boyfriend had changed my daughter’s life. she got addicted to alcohol after this incident. This had ruined the happiness of our family. I had tried to convince her to get rid of it, but of no use. She is depressed all the time and showing intense anger when we try to advise her. Seeking the help of a rehabilitation center is the only option left. I had already contacted to Canada Alcohol and Drug rehab programs, an addiction treatment help center in Calgary, they are providing the best recovery plan. But I don’t know how to convince her.Hoping for the best.

  • Take it from someone who learned the hard way. If her main problem is depression don't send her to a drug rehab, total waste of time and I'll tell u why. The alcohol use is just a symptom of the underlying depression, it's not her real problem and at a rehab they will focus on treating me the drinking but do little to address the root cause. She would be better off at a psych hospital for a bit where they can get her stabilized on meds. I garuntee that when she's over the depression the drinking will just fade away.
