Well to begin with I have had social anxiety most of my life, at least since middle school (I am 20). I thought it might be caused by a case of ADHD-inattentive which I show many symptoms of. Anyway aside from that I have many motivational issues (even with important stuff) and I believe because of all of the above issues I have had, it causes me to have depression. On top of this I have had some pretty big memory problems. A couple of examples of this are that I will be talking and I can't think of a word. This can happen almost every 3-4 sentences. I also have trouble recalling scenes from movies and such.

Any ideas if this is all just a case of ADHD-inattentive type or something else?

  • Memory problems can be a side effect of meds that you are on for depression/anxiety, so you may want to ask your dr about that. If you are not on meds, then I would try them for the ADHD and/or depression. Social Anxiety disorder can be treated by a therapist using CBT or ACT. They are very effective methods and don't require taking meds. Maybe try to tackle one problem at a time.
