I'm posting this for my mother. Her best friend is in her 80s and her son, in his 50s is a psychologist and he refuses to work and lives off his poor mother. He has a brother who also lives in the home but he made a lot of money and retired. They fight and belittle each other. My mother is always commenting about the son who won't work, even though he has the Ph.D. I think this is one doc who needs help...he taught at the university level, too.

The problem is, he is trained to believe that he is not sick and to ignore the symptoms. He has not looked for help. Probably he wants to deny that a real disease is preventing him from being normal and he is trying to justify it with some psychobable.I have had psychology instructors and they are overweight, tired and overwhelmed and they still believe that they have all the answers and it is just their choice and attitute. When the truth is that they are suffering from toxic overload, are not getting the right nutrition, and most likely have mycoplasma infections! If he was ever conseling patients with "psychological problems" I can bit you he was dealing with people with long term brain infections- like Lyme. So he got it from someone. He is really sick- but he is programmed to deny it just because the doctor's could not find what was wrong with him. Staying at home and doing nothing about it is not going to make the disease go away.Frui.
