It started with memory problems like not knowing if I went to my friend's birthday party last night. Then my friends began telling me about incidents where I get flushed at dinner, my head falls into my plate and I'm non-responsive for a minute, then afterwards I lose my memory for hours or days. I've had total amnesia on a few occasions where I've lost consecutive days without any real triggers though intense things ended up happening like the police finding me confused and sending me by ambulance to the hospital where they hospitalized me for a few day but like in an alcoholic blackout I remembered nothing. I don't drink or use any drugs except the 2 anti-convulsant medications my neurolgist prescribed for what he suspects are partial complex seizures although my symptoms haven't gotten anyy better since being on the meds. The EEG didn't show anything signicant and although the MRI showed a small cyst on my hippocampus, he didn't think that was significant. I was taken off the simvastatin I took for high cholesterol and the verapamil I was taking for high blood pressure and atrial vibrulation. My blood pressure and cholesterol are high now but mt EKG was ok. I am tired in general but especially tired of not knowing what is wrong with me. My life is not worth living when I fall down all the time and don't remember what happened. Help!Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
