  • Wow, okay, you are pretty pathetic to go on this website where people are actually trying to get help and take up space with this kind of stuff. There are people out there with severe, dibilitating diseases and you feel the need to post this?! My advice for you: get a life, and stop obsessing over yourself. If you weren't so self-centered you wouldn't even notice your "obsession." People like you make me sick.Take up a hobby or something...

  • If you find yourself squeezing a "cute" animal to death - seek help, you are having a psychotic break from reality.

  • and people that over-react make me sick...Case and point. You are overreacting yourself over something that is so ***n normal, that you shouldn't even THINK of it, nevermind talk about it and ask about it on a MENTAL HEALTH forum. And I find it funny, you said "take chill pill (if they make them)". Obviously you are one of the types that think everyone should resort to medicational drugs, because of course they solve EVERYTHING. Ha, even if you did have a real question about something remotely important and related to mental health, or just giving advice, you still shouldn't post it. Because medication drugs aren't the answer. Just another one of you zombie to society humans. Thank you, have a nice day.

You have just contradicted yourself my friend, if it happens to everyone, than it's not exactly a "behavorial condition" is it?

I know exactly what you mean, and am also surprised to find that not everyone does. How else is the rather widely used saying 'you're so cute I just want to squeeze you to death' so generally acceptable. It's à sort of instinctual urge which seems to be coupled with the emotionaliteit state of finding something "unbearably cute". The physical experience being having to restrain one's self from squeezing and/or biting the object of affection to death by clenching ones teeth and/or holding ones breath. This is an unconscious process somehow set in motion by à profound experience of love and affection. It can be associated with the urge to bite à lover or à cat that suddenly lashes out while thoroughly enjoying being petted. À well known photograph of Pablo Picasso with his toddler son on the beach demonstrates the sensation perfectly. I too have been researching this phenomenon and searching for it's name so far I haven't found much except that in Chile it's called nervio. As with anything which is normal different people experience it to different degrees, some often and easily and others almost never. However this is à reaction that sounds very creepy to someone who has never experienced it, even though statistically they would be the weird ones.
