I was on WebMD and there I read something about "excessive body hair growth" being a symptom of depression.

Has anyeone else heard of this, and if so what is the scientific explanation for it (as in, for example: Depression causes the excessive growth of the "something hormone" which causes...)

  • That's a new one on me. WebMD is supposed to be reliable, so presumably there's something to it. But I've had chronic depression all my life, and I'm not that hairy. I also know a lot of depressed people, male and female, and have never noticed any of them looking like missing links.I think you should write to WebMD and tell them they need to explain that one further.
