DD symptoms?

is talking to yourself and arguing with yourself out loud a symptoms of DD?
any comment would be appreciated.

  • It does not sound like delusional disorder but more information is really needed. For example is the talking and anwering oneself due to a compulsion to do so? Or for some other reason? Is the converation attempting to decifer real life facts or bizarre thoughts. Do these conversation results while taking a chemical substance? In general delusional disorders involve just that delusions that one is being followed, or infected via the rain with some disease, for instance.

  • In general delusional disorders involve just that delusions that one is being followed, or infected via the rain with some disease, for instance.:mad: I thought that dellusional disorder was when it was realistic- ie someone gets food poisening and starts having thoughts that someone malliciously poisened them instead of it being an accident or some unknown cause. DD is when there is a chance for it to be real, but then was proven otherwise at some point and the person wont give up. I dont think I've ever heard that having conversations with yourself is a symptom, but talking outloud might be(talking outloud is completely different then conversations with ones self).
