I am 38 years old and suffer from chronic anxiety and depression. I was examined by an internest twice because I've been plagued by feeling like I can barely catch my breath (gasping for air) and I burp excessively and uncontrollably. The internest told me to stop gasping for air--but you see I CAN'T because I have to catch my breath--it's a vicious cycle. ...And then there's my burping--burps get stuck in my throat and I also burp uncontrollably. THE INTERNEST SAYS ALL OF IT'S ANXIETY and that I need to manage my anxiety. The doctor says exercise and has changed my medicine a number of times, but nothing seems to work. I AM VERY VERY UNCOMFORTABLE and totally embarassed in social situations. Oh yeah--I also yawn constantly to try to catch my breath. DESPERATE-- PLEASE HELP.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
