I'm a concerned Mother right now as my little boy is making these strange comments for the past few weeks. He doesn't say them on a regular basis but over the past number of weeks he may have mentioned them 3 -4 times.
Just this evening we were visiting my sisters and he was having great fun with a cousin but they were getting a little bit loud and I corrected him. He asked if anyone had a chainsaw, that he wanted to cut his head off and die so he could go to heaven to see his dog charlie who died suddenly last month.
He doesn't say them with much meaning in them, in fact they are just 'flippant' comments that roll off the tongue.
At the same time it's very alarming to hear such a loving caring and affectionate little boy talk like that. I explained to him that it's not nice to say those things after tonights incident and I think he may have got the message, or rather I'm hoping he did!
I'm trying not to give him too much attention when he makes the comments either as I don't want him to see there's a reaction and for the comments to become more frequent.
